In an interview for the March 2010 issue of Allure Magazine, Simpson stated that she is working on a new album. The album will end her contract with her label. It's not yet known if she will renew her contract or move to another label for future albums. She also stated that she will be producing some of the songs on the album. Simpson was interviewed by both E! News and PopSugar.com and revealed that she's back in the studio working on a new holiday album. In September 2010, it was revealed that Simpson has begun writing and recording songs for her Christmas album, due for release in November 2010.On the 15th September, it was announced that Simpson was working with producers The-Dream and Tricky Stewart on both her upcoming albums. She will also duet with Willie Nelson and a U.S soldier in Afghanistan, singing the only confirmed track on the album - 'I'll be Home for Christmas'. Opera singer Andrea Bocelli pulled out of a duet with Simpson, citing that he was too busy.Simpson's new pop album is slated for release in 2011. She has already began writing for this album and is working with producers The-Dream, Tricky Stewart and Tony DeNiro, suggesting that her next album will be more R'n'B and Pop influenced, echoing back to her 'Irresistible' era. It was confirmed that the album will be released in Europe, around the same time that the Jessica Simpson Collection launches there.
